Football Games, The Fair, and Labor Day

Madison and I had company this weekend from Jennifer and Reagan. We had a good visit that included alot of fun activities. We started the weekend attempting to watch Davis play against Central. Just an FYI, (2) two-year olds in a crowded set of bleachers is not a good idea. We lasted just past the first quarter. A quick shout out to Davis and Stephen, for both of my bro's recording victories in Week 1. Collierville won 47-0, and Desoto Central had a great comeback win at Bruce, winning by 7.

Saturday we ventured to the Delta Fair, and had a big time. We got to see alot of new animals, and Madison was very impressed with all the sounds, and rides. She kept going, "Look Daddy!!". Reagan had a mini-meltdown at the fair, but all was good. JA quickly grabbed a pronto-pup and headed for the exit. I mean, can you really go to the fair and not eat a pronto pup and freshly squeezed lemonade?? I will not talk about the rest of the night, as my college football season was officially ruined! Enough Said...

Sunday Mimi and Vann invited us all over for dinner, and we enjoyed a great meal! The kids played outside, and had a large time. Monday, we went swimming at Poppy and Vic's and they were 2 pooped kiddo's by sundown.

Animal Expo, Trips to the Mall, and Back to School

Well School starts on Tuesday for Miss Madison. She is going 2 days a week this year, and I am ready for another exciting year. She really enjoys going to school, and is well equipted with a Hello Kitty lunch box and backpack. Her teachers this year are Mrs. Renee and Mrs. Sherry. Her class includes a set of triplets, so that should be pretty fun and interesting. I will keep you posted as the year develops.

This weekend I took Madison to the Animal Planet's, Animal Expo at Shelby Farms. It was a huge bust! The lines were just too long, and she was not tall enough to do any of the fun slides. She was not too happy with that decision or the long lines. She thought it was time to do whatever, RIGHT THEN! Oh, how she will learn...

We went to the mall later in the evening, and surprisingly ran into Grandy and Pop! Grandy went shoe shopping with us, but we had no luck. No size 7's in the one we wanted.

The weekend closed with a visit from Poppa A, and they had a big time. Poppa A brought her some washable markers (Thanks Dad!!) and they colored, and even colored her feet (see the last photo).

All in all a pretty relaxing weekend, and gearing up for a busy September. It's football time!!!!
